My clients wanted an elegant hall table, preferably with a subtle art deco influence but suitable for their contemporary home. Their style is refined and traditional, with classic pieces juxtaposed with a warm family feel. I was delighted to take this opportunity to create this beautifully curved structure, offsetting the understated quartersawn oak sides with an attractive burr top.

The table was made using a combination of solid oak components and hand-veneering in oak and oak burr, and featured a wide dovetailed drawer with a cedar of Lebanon base.

“Just wanted to say how delighted we are with the table you made for us. It’s a unique design that looks great in the hall and it’s so good to know that we have created an heirloom to last for generations.” – Brenda & Tim Wilson, November 2011

A commission of a similar piece would start from £1800, depending on preferred size and choice of wood.
